WE&I
ART
is a collective of three unique differently-abled artists whose members are Haziq Izmi, Izzati Shahrin, and Maria Soo.
They were amongst the artists under the development programme towards economic empowerment project called Nukilan Jiwaku V.S.A Mentorship Programme (2014-2015), a collaboration between Maybank Foundation, Malaysian Council for Rehabilitation and University Malaya.
They share their artworks of various themes and styles in paintings and other mix media.
It is in the spirit of sharing that they hope to draw respect and recognition towards differently-abled artists, a thriving creative community silently contributing to the creative economy of our nation.
WE & I ART is titled as such to echo our everyday need for friends, for teamwork and interdependence.
Presenting a collection of their shared pleasures and contemplation, each stroke is hard-earned as it is powerful as it sincerely thrives as visual expressions to inspire and empower others in life.
A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of these artists’ artworks during the WE&I ARTfest will be donated to the Malaysian Council for Rehabilitation ( MCR)
